Meet our Teachers
The foundation of being a great
yoga teacher is being a great yoga student.
LISA McCORMACK
ECYT-200
Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Black Cat Yoga
Lisa is a yoga teacher, bhakti practitioner, meditation facilitator, and kirtan leader. She has been a devoted student of yoga for over 15 years and began teaching in 2014. She offers her students a safe and tranquil space to explore and deepen their yoga practice, weaving into her classes wisdom from the 8 Limbs of Yoga, Yoga Sutras, along with insights from her own personal practice.

Lisa's classes are rooted in the Bhakti tradition, also known as the "Yoga of the Heart." With mantra chanting, mudras, pranayama, and sound placement of the body, her classes are a nurturing, nourishing, and rejuvenating experience of breath, energy, and movement. With over 5,000 teaching hours, she has witnessed countless people shift out of fear-based thoughts, behaviors, and patterns and into an empowered and heart-centered practice of grace and surrender.

KEVIN McCORMACK
ECYT-200
Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Black Cat Yoga
Kevin McCormack is a yoga teacher, bhakti practitioner, and kirtan leader. He began his transformational journey as a yoga student over 15 years ago, with his commitment to share his passion as a yoga teacher starting in 2014. His reverence for yoga is woven through his teaching and his practice. He creates a space for his students to have a deep inward experience, while at the same time developing a larger awareness of the physical and energetic practice of yoga.
Kevin offers a smooth-flowing, alignment-based sequence that is accessible to all levels of practitioners. His intention is that all yogis may experience the true nature of themselves through the mindful application of breathing and moving their bodies in a deep meditative state of being.
