Meet our Teachers
Leading with love.

LISA McCORMACK
ECYT-200
Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Black Cat Yoga
Lisa is a devoted student and heart-led teacher whose offerings are rooted in bhakti yoga, the yoga of love and devotion. Her classes are more than movement; they are a soulful invitation to soften inward and return to the heart. With a warm and intuitive approach, Lisa weaves mantra, breath, music, storytelling, and heart-centered asana into the practice - bridging ancient wisdom with embodied presence.
Together with her husband, Kevin, Lisa co-leads a heart-centered yoga school at Black Cat Yoga which is devoted to nurturing the next generation of teachers who feel called to lead with love, build meaningful community, and teach from a place of authenticity. Blending their unique gifts, they hold space for aspiring teachers to deepen their practice, awaken their voice, and share yoga as a path of devotion, compassion, and heartfelt service.

KEVIN McCORMACK
ECYT-200
Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Black Cat Yoga
Kevin McCormack is a yoga teacher, bhakti practitioner, kirtan leader, and yoga teacher training facilitator. He began his transformational journey as a yoga student over 15 years ago, with his commitment to share his passion as a yoga teacher starting in 2014. His reverence for yoga is woven through his teaching and his practice. He creates a space for his students to have a deep inward experience, while at the same time developing a larger awareness of the physical and energetic practice of yoga.
Kevin offers a smooth-flowing, alignment-based sequence that is accessible to all levels of practitioners. His intention is that all yogis may experience the true nature of themselves through the mindful application of breathing and moving their bodies in a deep meditative state of being.

KAYLA SCOTT
cyt-200
Yoga Teacher
Kayla has been a student of yoga for eight years and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2023. Her classes consist of gentle breath-centered movement, with moments of stillness mixed in. Kayla invites students to come as they are and be curious about what they find on their mat, holding space for each student to take what they need and let go of what does not serve them. Sound healing, reading, poetry, and time for inward reflection are sprinkled into her classes.
